Ignition Skid – Flare system

The Boysun Gas Processing Plant (BGPP) is one of the largest energy projects currently underway in the Surkhandarya region, in southern Uzbekistan. It forms part of the development of the large “Mustaqillikning 25 yilligi” gas field located near the town of Boysun.

As part of the gas gathering system for the fields, a connection to a flare plant is planned at each cluster pad and each single well pad.

The flare system is intended for the discharge and subsequent combustion of flammable gases and vapours in the event of manual bleeding, the automatic activation of safety devices, or emergency release.

Site: Mustaqillikning 25 yilligi

Location: Boysun District (Uzbekistan)

Final customer: Surhan Gas Chemical Operating Company

General contractor EPC: Enter Engineering

Year: 2023

What we worked on

Monteco took part in this project by supplying a batch of ‘ignition skids’ on behalf of the flare system contractor.
In particular, these skids were equipped with heating trays, sensors and backup fuel gas cylinders, to be used in the case of an emergency, fitted with a balance to monitor the residual gas in the cylinders.

The supply included:

  • Engineering support provided to customers in analysing specifications
  • Complete engineering services for construction
  • Procurement of valves and sensors
  • Piping supply and mechanical fabrication
  • FAT and packaging for shipping
